For as long as I can remember, Aunt Marie would make cannoli for our Easter celebration. One year she decided to make a cannoli cake and I remember thinking....WHY would you make a cake when all we want is cannoli?! It turned out that cake was a huge hit.
Our head pastry chef Cati had no clue about my love of cannoli when she created this new cake slice. I took one bite and it reminded me of my Aunt Marie and the delicious cannoli cake that will forever be a sweet memory. This cake slice is light in texture and full of the traditional cannoli flavors.
White cake brushed with a marsala simple syrup layered with chocolate chip mascarpone frosting and cannoli crumb, topped with vanilla buttercream.
